How it started

Sigma Revenue connected to the hotel's PMS and imported its booking history. It now tracks competitors' prices in Bansko directly on their websites and calculates a recommended price for every room and every night. The hotel's team accepts or adjusts each recommendation.

The results

In one month the team accepted 420 price recommendations, 80% of them for a higher price. On nights with an accepted recommendation the average price was 4.8% above the hotel's base price, and the additional profit from the higher prices was €7,911.

Applying dynamic pricing to the remaining rates could have generated a further €23,427.

Why we say profit and not just revenue: a room that is sold anyway costs the hotel nothing extra when it sells for more. So the price difference is almost entirely profit.

Return

The subscription for a 150-room hotel is €750 a month (€5 per room). Against €7,911 in additional profit for the month, that is more than 10 times as much.

How we calculated the results

We count bookings made in one month of 2026, for any stay date. For each night we take the part of the price above the hotel's base price before Sigma Revenue's recommendation. Nights on the dynamic rates, the Booking.com channel and the 2=3 and 3=4 offers that follow the dynamic prices are included. The hotel is not named.
