What dynamic pricing is
With static prices a room costs the same whether there is a festival in town or the hotel is half empty. With dynamic pricing the price of each night is set separately, from the demand for that date, the booking pace and competitors' prices.
The goal is not simply higher prices. The goal is to sell every room at the best achievable rate: higher when demand allows it, and lower when the room would otherwise stay empty.
How Sigma Revenue sets your nightly rates
Example
Double room, Saturday
€120
current price
€138 +15%
recommended price
- Historical data+2%
- Analyses your booking history to identify high-demand periods by day of week and season, then suggests the best price for every date.
- Booking pace+7%
- Tracks booking pace for every room. When bookings come in earlier or faster than expected, it recognises the higher demand and reflects it in the price recommendation.
- Competitor prices+6%
- Tracks prices directly on competitors' own websites and compares each of your rooms and rates with theirs, then updates the price recommendation.
Dynamic prices, under your control
- Minimum and maximum prices
- You set minimum and maximum prices and get recommendations that follow the hotel's pricing strategy.
- Recommendations or Autopilot
- Accept recommendations directly or adjust them as you see fit. Autopilot applies them automatically up to 365 days ahead in your PMS or channel manager, if your system supports automatic rate updates (Clock PMS+, for example).
- Integration
- Sigma Revenue connects to your PMS and syncs the hotel's data automatically, with no manual entry and no change to how you work.
